Rating- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

“Between life and death there is a library, and within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices…Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?”

Nora Seed is suffering with depression. And through the pages of her life, we travel to all her regrets. She are given a red signal each time she thinks the life in her parallel universe is not made for her.

The ending of the book is very predictable. But that doesn’t hamper the beauty of this book. Nora is a character who has atleast one relatable regret. And that’s what makes you want to read more. That’s what doesn’t make you stop.

The book’s central idea is mental health. If read at the correct time (i.e. when you have mental health issues, you’ll understand the beauty of this book).

There are many quotes of this book that I liked.

“Pressure makes us though. You start off as a coal, and pressure makes you diamond.”

“So long as there are still books on the shelves, you are never trapped. Every book is a potential escape.”

“Regrets don’t leave. They weren’t mosquito bites. They itch for ever.”

“You can have everything and feel nothing.”

“The only way to learn is to live.”

Just wanted to mention:
💫 I re-read this book for this review, so I hope you liked it.
💫 Read this book at your own pace and at the correct time, or you’ll surely dislike it.
💫A fast-paced book (anyone in slump? Try it!)
